You’re at an event, say a party or kids sports day, and they call on people who have a special talent to come and show it to the crowd.  You think to yourself …. hey, I’m flexible.  I used to be able to do the splits when I was younger.  I should do that!  So, without any warm up or preparation, down you go, snap goes the hamstring and chaos ensues!  Being flexible wasn’t the issue.  It’s that you tried to do something without being prepared and without following a process.
