The NCC 2022 regulations took effect as of the 01/05/25. One of the changes is that it will be mandatory for all external downpipes to be connected directly to the gutter and run underneath the eaves rather than being concealed; as had been standard industry practice previously.
This new regulation once again demonstrates the challenge for builders to comply with regulations while trying to deliver an aesthectically pleasing home for thier clients.
