Don’t Be Spooked!

Don’t Be Spooked!

Halloween Season is approaching and, whether you celebrate the holiday or not, there is one thing you need to know … you shouldn’t be spooked about building your new home!

By doing your homework, you can make sure that your building journey is more treat than trick.  Here’s some tips for choosing a reputable builder …

  1. The cheaper the candy the worse the aftertaste!  Going with the cheapest quote usually means you are consciously choosing a lower quality product AND service.  It’s always better to pay a bit more and get better value for money.
  2. More decorations does not mean a better treat!  Builders can trick you into coming to their door by showing you all the top of the line inclusions that “could be yours” … only to tell you that they are all upgrades that you will need to pay for.  Check your specification carefully before signing with a sales agent or builder to make sure you are getting what you expect.
  3. Being ghosted!  You want a builder that has open and consistent communication.  If you are having the chase the sales agent or builder in the beginning stages, that’s a big red flag!

So don’t sit there in the dark being scared.  Do your research and choose the builder that is best for you!
